Unknown Troubles by Ivy Jones

Unknown Troubles

Can you feel the breeze around us?
Like the tango, salsa, or meringue.
Sweeping us into the perfect rhythm
Of rain less clouds in a storm from above.
However, it left puddles on the ground
As evidence for the future unplanned
Showers that could come at any moment.

Two umbrellas cannot save anyone
Or protect someone from the threats of a
Storm. Nothing to hit them for miles and
Miles but better safe than sorry now.

Attentions to detail is not a strong
Suit but one might notice the dark red gown.
Full length to her ankles and a swooped back
with matching gloves and elegant hair done
up in a bun. No shoes on her feet? Odd.
For someone so professional looking
You would imagine the whole package that
Way. From bottom to top or the other
Way round. She is missing an essential
For this gown meant for a grand evening out.

A suit case to go next to the maid tells
More to the story than what’s on the page.
Interpretation can be mustered up
On what a lovers plan must be tonight.
Leave the damsel in distress? Or is she
The one leaving him for another man?
Those could both be wrong and it could be the
Maids or butlers case for a long travel
To a new job? New home? New place for care?
