Lost words By: Kilee De La Cruz

Blank space and blank time, no where to look at.
White walls and canvas stare right back at you
For there is no place that has color
Color bleeds in the form of black and white
Never a new color to look back at.

She stares in space, to try and make sense
The words just blend from one to another
Curving around like the curves on a women's body.
Swooping down but filling up time and space.
For these are gentle curves, ones that need to be remembered.

The words have no meaning, lost in gravity.
Concentration is key to decode them
The words get lost in translation from wall to eye
Bring forth the meaning, so she may save time.
But what isn't there is what it was meant to be.

Is there a lesson to be made of this?
One to teach the folks more about life
Or is there simply nothing to be shown or gained.
Is this nothing but a simple image
One not to be taught, just there to hang.

Life has lost all meaning to her today.
For these aren't words on a canvas,
these are her fears and ambitions
Instead they just float away, drifting into the world
The world of unknown and the world of the lost.
