Dream On by: Nicole Busch

Dream On
By: Nicole Busch

Falling asleep with the ocean as a
blanket, wrapped around her waist so loosely.
Dolphins jumping through her dreams across the
ocean, the slight tinted green-blue water,
magical and make believe, like the long
fairytales in her book, she drifted off.

Hand resting under her head, a method
of support, the ocean, some protection.
Her white gown, a sign of purity and
sheer innocence, like the bright sun in the
morning, peaking out to start their day right.

The ripple of the waves, representing
the different dreams she remembers so
clear, like the strands of water, or curly
strands of her hair, fading off into the
deep distance, into the small green island
and grey clouds; with a burst of bright yellow.

The green hills, road bumps, in her simple life,
but also in her most wildest of dreams.
They represent statues of support, to
help her through times of need, or celebrate
times of joy, whichever she dreams about
the most is what will come true for the so
fortunate little girl. The two dolphins,
her mom and dad, most important figures.

All this coming together in one huge,
magical, incredible dream, she thought
of herself.  All based on a fairytale
of her own wonderful book she calls life.

So dream on, live your dreams, sweet girl, dream on.
