Victory on the clouds, glory shining down
This friendly day about to get started.
Trees jumping out at you saying "hello!"
Making sure your walk stays enjoyable.
The bushes reving their engines encouraging you to run,
To get some much needed exercise over
The weekend because of the various
Activities and festivities about to take place.
Your walk turns into a jog, indulging.
The bushes are right so you join in on the fun.
You get a ways down the pathway and behold,
A scrum-diddly-umptious tree full of fruit.
Fruit is healthy, so are you. Become one.
Ingest it all! Nothing is stopping you
From inhaling this entire stash of
Goods. And after this, you're back on your way.
Running past cars, speeding down the highway
You look at your fuel-o-meter. It's full!
No money spent, just energy to burn.
Take a look up to the sky and the sun
Smiles down on you, reminding you that it's
5 o' clock. Already? Better go home.
Get ready for the night life fun, the best
Part of every college kid's day. Well, most.
10, 11, 12, it's getting pretty late.
Winding down from today's euphoricness
You look back and debate with yourself, the
Absolute best part of your day, today.
Was it the run? The walk? The food or party?
No. It was the outdoors. The great outdoors.

This Most Perfect Hill
by Lisa Jarnot
On this most perfect
hill
with these most perfect
dogs
are these most perfect
people
and this most perfect
fog
In this most perfect fog
that is the middle of the
sea
inside the perfect middle
of
the things inside that
swing
In this most perfect
rhyme
that takes up what it
sees,
with perfect shelter from the
rain as perfect as can
be,
In this most perfect day
at the apex of the sun
runs this most perfect
frog song that is
roiling
from the mud
In these most perfect
habits
of the waving of the
trees,
through this imperfect
language
rides a perfect brilliancy.
