A Man Said To The Universe By Kayla Hall

A Man Said To The Universe
Every man claims the Earth s his,
Enslaving people believed inferior.
Engulfing the world in flames,
Embers sting the unfortunate.
Epidemic of inflated egos,
Egos that kill people by the millions,
Endangering the forests, oceans and animals.
Excited the men bang on their chests like apes.
Escape no longer is an option
Eyes on every move.
Everyday new power struggles,
Experienced Lions fight the challenger to keep the title.
Efficient destroyers we are,
Eyesores we leave behind after it all.
Every man owes the planet everything,
Earth owes us nothing.

A Man Said to the Universe

BY STEPHEN CRANE
A man said to the universe:
“Sir, I exist!"
“However,” replied the universe,
“The fact has not created in me
“A sense of obligation.”
