College Days by David Cole

By David Cole

Education is the key to succeed, but
It is not always what it may seem to be.
I myself, can attest to this very claim
After my days at Oregon State University.

Homework is often a second set of priorities
As kegs are regularly running dry,
With fountains of booze and clouds of haze
Is this a stereotype, of frat life and sororities?

I’ve watched students stumble into class sick
Most certainly from the night before,
Holding back heaves, ever so dry,
From exploding onto the floor.

Then comes the ever so dreaded dead week
Where the air is still, and stereos don’t make a sound.
Where the last chance to pass that class
Is long gone, along with, your college days.
