first person of another's story by Kody Cayson

Sun is setting over the
Mountains. The light sliding
Across the ground like a
Curtain shade dragging
Down. The car is chasing
The light and losing.
The engine is singing
With a vicious roar,
In harmony with my
Heart exploding in my chest.
Land passing by dizzyingly,
Fastest I’ve ever been.
Running far away,
The radio cheering
Me on and guiding my
Way through the desert.
Chopper blades like
Machine guns above
My head. I can’t beat
Them, shit they’re fast.
Oh well they wont catch me.
Not alive at least.
I love this car.
A Challenger.
Challenging me to go
Faster, drive harder,
Only one-way out.
As the road narrows
The roadblock is clear.
Too late to stop.
