Young Sweet Little Girl-By Katie Hedgepeth

She was a young sweet little girl,
Curious, confused and sad,
She always wondered where her daddy was.
She missed him and wished he would come back.

Curious, confused and sad,
She sat in silence with a blank stare,
She missed him and wished he would come back.
She remembered his bright smile that lit up a room.

She sat in silence with a blank stare,
Asking her mommy where her daddy had gone,
She remembered his bright smile that lit up the room.
She always wondered why daddy and mommy never hugged.

Asking her mommy where her daddy had gone,
As mommy tried to explain,
She always wondered why daddy and mommy never hugged.
The little girl hugged her mommy while tears came down her face.

As mommy tried to explain,
The little girl would still be able to see her daddy,
The little girl hugged her mommy while tears came down her face.
Tears streaming down her face as she thought deeply.

The little girl would still be able to see her daddy,
She was dropped off by her mommy in La Grande,
Tears streaming down her face as she thought deeply.
A new beginning had begun.

She was dropped off by her mommy in La Grande,
She ran up to the porch where she spotted her daddy.
A new beginning had begun.
She came to realization; things would never be the same.

She ran up to the porch where she spotted her daddy.
She came to realization; things would never be the same.
