My home by liz snader
As the wind blew, the rosey red
Flowers swayed the dance of
Hula dancers flowing to the strong
And powerful drums-
As the children passed by
I noticed the way they walked-
Every child walked without worry,
Without strain. As I watched those children
I remembered my childhood-
My dad took me to basketball practice-
My mom took me to softball practice-
My life was a playground. All I ever did
Was play sports and hangout with my family-
As I watched those kids walks
Past me, I smiled and kept on with my journey.
Seeing those kids laughing and running around
Made me realize this one thing:
Oregon is my love, my life, my home.
