New World Order by Elizabeth Snader
This new world order-
It’s run by canines.
They call the shots,
They own the rules.
Gambling, smoking, drinking-
It’s like the mafia back in the day.

Dogs controlling the way that money
Circulates in the underground,
Passing around cash to people
And making sure more one leaves
And an empty pocket,

The red lamp shade,
The patriotic poker chips,
The tall wooden chairs-
It all adds up to this crazy thing.
These dogs are playing
Poker for Christ sakes!!
They comprehend and communicate
And do math and understand rules.

Seeing the dogs playing poker really disturbs me-
Making my life slightly more difficult
In fear that dog will join
And he will be gone forever.
