Anywhere
On this most perfect porch, a couple sits
On the most perfect purple, wooden swing.
Each with their most perfect thoughts colliding,
To form the most perfect watercolor.
Within this most perfect watercolor
You can hear the most perfect sound of wings
The most perfect humming birds fluttering
By the ears of the giants on the swing.
Within this most perfect watercolor
Is the most perfectly cold milk bottle
Served on a perfect morning with pancakes
And the most perfect pure maple syrup.
Within this most perfect watercolor
Fly the most perfect delicate babies
From a tiny nest in the tallest tree
Next to the giants on their perfect swing.
Within this most perfect watercolor
The ant carries the most perfect grass blade
To aide in the most perfect colony
Allowing the queen to rest as she feasts.
Within this most perfect watercolor
Where the most perfect sapphire and emerald
Flow into the most perfect turquoise sea
The small fish sleep in the anemone.
Within this most perfect watercolor
Rise the soil gnomes and the garden fairies
In their most suitable Sunday attire
For the most perfectly grand ballroom dance.
Within this most perfect watercolor
The most perfect aroma engulfs you
Capturing your senses for time travel
To the most perfect place in all the thoughts.

This Most Perfect Hill
BY LISA JARNOT
On this most perfect hill
with these most perfect dogs
are these most perfect people
and this most perfect fog
In this most perfect fog
that is the middle of the sea
inside the perfect middle of
the things inside that swing
In this most perfect rhyme
that takes up what it sees,
with perfect shelter from the
rain as perfect as can be,
In this most perfect day
at the apex of the sun
runs this most perfect
frog song that is roiling
from the mud
In these most perfect habits
of the waving of the trees,
through this imperfect language
rides a perfect brilliancy.
the most perfect aroma engulfs you
