I once was so small but now standing tall

it seemed so far but faster than you know

sitting here waiting, watching the clock tick

tic toc tic toc, the days go by slowly

it’s April and May nowhere in site

It is getting harder to wake up now

pushing the snooze button once again

trying to find reasons to stay in bed

the mind is somewhere else, floating in clouds

Four years have gone, June is coming soon

one step closer and we’re finally here

closing all of the books, as we hear that

last bell ring, as school is over and done

papers in the air and kids in your ear

This is the beginning not the very last
keep walking fast, proudly down the aisle

making sure you stand tall and smile far

having those flashbacks from the past play back

wishing those fun moments could only last

trying hard not to shed a single tear

Knowing that the end is nearly coming here

The longful speeches and loud applauses

 filled with void, joyful cheers and tons of beers

for every step there is no more fear

the seeds of success that I have shown

White gowns with green lines and cap to large.

looking upon a once long finish line

when you see your diploma, take a bow

show them how it’s done, both hands in the air

pointing at mama for all that she has done
